This one was originally a Parisian 1930's silk dress fabric. These popular Japanese inspired prints of the 1930's were again used in fashion in the 1960's inspiring designers like Celia Birtwell and Ossie Clarke and their bohemian dresses.
This viscose twill has a wonderful weight, a soft touch and an amazing drape to it.
Use it to make a shirt, dress or wide legged trousers.
This crepe dress fabric is 100% viscose and is 150cm wide.
Viscose is a fibre that is derived from wood pulp, making it a natural fabric that is more breathable than cotton. It is also known as Rayon.
Please allow 5% shrinkage for this fabric as viscose has a tendency to shrink in the first wash.
Machine washable at 30 degrees, cool iron, gentle tumble dry or hang out to dry straight after washing, please note when you wash viscose it can become stiff when wet but the softness and drape will return as it dries.
