On this class we’ll sew up the flattering Cottesloe Swimsuit by Megan Neilson. We've chosen this pattern as it's such a fabulously versatile pattern, with one-piece swimsuit option with a gorgeous tie-back detail or bikini with standard or high-waisted briefs and it comes in sizes 0 – 30.
On this class you’ll learn how to choose the right size for you, taking pattern alterations into account, how to cut and sew super stretchy fabrics, sewing with swimwear elastic, and finishing your swimsuit so it survives the seasons.
You’ll need to bring your swimsuit fabric, swimsuit lining and optional powermesh (please see attached sizing & fabric requirement photos), plus coordinating swimsuit elastic. Please contact us if you’re unsure about any of the fabric requirements. (Note we won’t be adding the optional cups to the swimsuit in this class). Also note that we don't stock swimwear fabrics regularly so you'll want to source this elsewhere.
Please note, this is not a beginner sewing class – you do need to know how to use a sewing machine comfortably, and have made a few garments already.
